Suspected healer arrested during drug operation in Zásmuky
Prague criminal detectives have arrested a forty-nine-year-old man suspected of raping at least nine women during so-called healing sessions, according to prazska.drbna.cz. The man posed as a healer and promised his female clients cures for cancer, leukaemia or brain tumours — some he even promised immortality.
The suspect offered a method designated as CIT therapy, or Holistic Intuitive Therapy. He claimed he could treat traumas from past lives. According to police, the treatment primarily involved intimate areas, with the man causing pain to women whilst promising them healing.
Detectives established that from at least 2021 to 2025 he also held group drug operations. He administered a decoction from a South American plant containing the banned substance DMT with psychedelic effects to his clients. The sessions took place in the Prague 6 area, in the Central Bohemian Region and in Nový Hrozenkův.
The man was arrested on 16 October in the evening together with his associate during another drug operation in Zásmuky in the Central Bohemian Region. A woman was also arrested in connection with the case.
"Detectives have so far recorded a total of nine injured women who were raped by the suspect against their explicit objection, but it is not ruled out that there could be far more victims," police spokesman Richard Hrdina said in a press release. Detectives are urging other women with similar experiences to contact the 158 line.
The forty-nine-year-old man is being prosecuted in custody. Together with two other accused persons, he faces charges of rape and sexual coercion. If convicted, all of them face up to ten years in prison.
