Prague detectives apprehended a person on Thursday whom they suspect of killing an Israeli businessman in the gambling sector. The victim's body was discovered on Wednesday by his family in a flat in Prague's Žižkov district.
According to initial investigative findings, the man was apparently strangled. Sources close to the case suggest that the perpetrator may have been someone known to the victim.
"On Thursday, police apprehended one suspect. At this time, we will not be providing further information about the case," stated Prague police spokesman Richard Hrdina.
The identity of the detainee has not yet been disclosed. Investigators are continuing to gather evidence and clarify the circumstances of the crime.
