An aggressive woman attacked a man without apparent reason at the main railway station in Chomutov. Municipal police officers detained her after a brief pursuit and handed her over to police.

Chomutovsky.denik.cz reports on an attack at the main railway station in Chomutov which occurred without any prior conflict. A woman, with whom the injured man had been spending time, attacked him and caused him visible injuries to his face. Emergency responders treated the man at the scene and transported him to hospital.

"When the patrol arrived, the man was conscious, but complained of headaches and had visible injuries. The municipal police officers therefore secured help for him and called the emergency medical services," said Michal Hrdlička, spokesman for the Chomutov Municipal Police.

Municipal police officers tracked down the suspected woman in the vicinity of the incident. Initially she denied her involvement, but subsequently admitted to the attack. During the operation she behaved aggressively, insulted those around her and did not comply with the officers' instructions. She also attempted to flee the scene.

After a brief pursuit, municipal police officers detained her and used coercive measures. The woman was subsequently handed over to the Czech Police, which is investigating the case further.
