An intoxicated motorist attempted to evade a police traffic stop. Police brought the vehicle to a halt with a deliberate ramming manoeuvre.

On Monday evening, a motorist in the Rastatt district attempted to escape from a police control. The man is suspected of having been driving whilst intoxicated.
The driver was operating a Mazda bearing forged registration plates. Near Gaggenau, officers managed to bring the vehicle to a stop through a deliberate ramming manoeuvre. Subsequently, they arrested both the driver and his passenger.
