A woman in her 80s was the victim of aggravated theft near Kongsgård when unknown perpetrators held her fast and removed her watch. Police are investigating a possible connection to a similar robbery in Arendal the day before.

According to krs.no, police reported at 13.39 that a woman in her 80s had been subjected to aggravated theft at a public place at Kongsgård in Kristiansand.
– She was approached by some people in a car after she had been shopping. They are said to have held her fast and slipped her watch off her, says Eyvind Formo, operations leader in the police.
The incident likely took place on Olav Tryggvassons vei near Meny Albert, police state. At present, police have a poor description of the car in question and the persons involved, but have patrols in the area searching for the vehicle.

Police urge citizens who have made observations in the area, or who have cameras on their home or car that may have recorded something, to contact the police.
– Police are opening a case and continuing investigations and the search for the car and persons, says Arne Kloster Kvidbergskår, shift leader in the police.
