Russia planning sabotage against Danish defence industry, PET warns
PET reveals concrete Russian preparations for sabotage against Danish companies linked to military aid to Ukraine. Danes are being recruited via Telegram and social media.

PET: Russian sabotage against the defence industry is a real threat
Russian intelligence activities are specifically targeting Denmark, including companies in the defence industry linked to Danish military aid to Ukraine. This is reported by Ekstra Bladet based on Berlingske's interview with Emil Græsholm, head of counter-espionage at the Police Intelligence Service (PET).
– It is such a concrete designation and preparation that we see it as necessary to go public with the message that it is a threat that should be taken seriously, Græsholm tells Berlingske.
PET informs the newspaper that several ordinary Danes have been targeted for recruitment by Russia. Contact has been made digitally via the messaging service Telegram, gaming platforms and other social media.
Those recruited have been assigned apparently 'innocent' tasks, such as photographing specific companies – tasks that in intelligence terminology are referred to as reconnaissance.
Græsholm emphasises to Berlingske that the scope of these cases gives cause for concern. PET is calling on Danes to contact the police if they encounter recruitment posts of this nature.
