School teacher from South-West Funen convicted of abuse of 6-year-old pupil: nine months imprisonment
A 35-year-old teacher has been sentenced to nine months' imprisonment for sexual abuse of a six-year-old girl. He has also been barred from working with children for three years.

A 35-year-old school teacher from South-West Funen has on Thursday been convicted of sexual abuse of a six-year-old girl who attended the school where he was employed. This is disclosed by Funen Police in a press release following the judgment at the District Court in Svendborg, which TV 2 Nyheder reports on.
The abuse took place at the school, and according to police, the teacher has been convicted of having touched and stimulated the girl's genitals.
The court sentenced him to nine months' imprisonment and additionally bars him from working with children and young people for three years. He has furthermore been ordered to pay compensation of 20,000 kroner to the injured girl.
According to Funen Police, the teacher has requested a period for reflection with regard to a possible appeal to the High Court. The deadline for appeal is 14 days.
