A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old have been remanded in custody for four weeks on suspicion of being responsible for the killing of a 20-year-old man who was found dead in the Gudenå river on Friday.

A 20-year-old man was found dead in the Gudenå river on Friday. Police have now arrested two people in the case – a 16-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man.

The court in Randers has decided to hold both in custody for a period of four weeks. They are charged with jointly causing the death of the 20-year-old. During the initial court hearing, the two admitted to having inflicted serious violence on the victim, but they denied having committed murder.

The two accused will be held at different locations during their remand. The youngest is placed at a closed institution for young people, where he is to be held in lieu of imprisonment. The eldest will be held in custody. Both have accepted the ruling without appealing it.
