Three men in their twenties with connections to the criminal environment in Odense are brought before court, charged with, among other things, unlawful deprivation of liberty and sexual assault against a 16-year-old.

On Tuesday morning, three men from the criminal environment in Odense appeared in Odense District Court for a preliminary hearing. The three, who are between 21 and 23 years old, are suspected of a series of serious crimes committed against a 16-year-old boy in April.
According to Funen Police, they are charged with depriving the young man of his liberty, inflicting serious violence and committing sexual assault against him. Furthermore, they are said to have left him in a defenceless state, partially undressed and in chains.
The police assess that the crime is linked to an ongoing dispute between two criminal groups in the town. For this reason, searches were carried out at several locations in Odense at the same time.
The prosecution has requested that the court hearing be held in closed session. The aim is to have the three remanded in custody.
