Canary Islands police forces detained a man who harassed a resident through intimidatory messages sent from numerous SIM cards with false identities.

Security forces at state and regional level jointly detained a man on the largest Canary Island. The arrested individual is being investigated for harassing, threatening and violating the privacy of a local resident, according to ABC.
It all began when the victim filed a complaint. Investigators discovered that the suspect repeatedly contacted her through messaging apps and numerous telephone connections. Some of these connections corresponded to prepaid SIM cards purchased using fabricated identity details.
Following the investigation, officers raided the home of the suspect in Santa Cruz. During the search they seized several mobile devices, digital storage units, papers related to the case, as well as SIM cards and material associated with various numbers that are being examined.
They also found photographs of the victim on the electronic devices. These images will be studied by forensic experts as part of the investigation. A small quantity of narcotic substances and a precision scale were also found in the residence.
The arrested man was brought before the courts, which imposed protective measures requiring him to maintain distance from the victim and refrain from any contact with her.
