A Córdoba court has sentenced a man to 30 months in prison for sexually assaulting his stepdaughter on repeated occasions while the young woman slept. In addition to the custodial sentence, the court banned him for seven and a half years from practising any profession or activity involving direct contact with minors, according to ABC.
The judicial ruling found it established that the accused, who had raised the victim since her birth, surreptitiously accessed the place where she was resting and committed various acts of a sexual nature against her will. The facts took place when the young woman was 21 years old.
The accused attempted to justify his actions by arguing that he was giving the victim a massage, a version that the court rejected as not conforming to the reality of the proven facts.
