The police operation deployed on the Valencia coast during the night of San Juan has resulted in forty people arrested, including a minor on suspicion of sexual assault and two individuals for gender-based violence.

The coast of the Turia capital city welcomed approximately seventy-five thousand people on the night of San Juan. The extensive security operation deployed by the National Police resulted in forty arrests, including that of a young man accused of a sexual offence involving penetration.
The minor was handed over to the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office. The victim, an adult woman, did not file a complaint at the time but told officers of her intention to do so the following day. Sources consulted clarified that the incident consisted of digital penetration.
The arrests occurred for multiple reasons: eight for assault, seven for judicial warrants, three for theft, ten for property damage, one for resisting authority, one for fraudulent documentation, two for mass brawls, three for threats, one for sexual assault, two for gender-based violence and two unspecified.
Four men were arrested following a brawl outside an entertainment venue in which they used dangerous objects. Another individual was caught in the act of robbery inside a vehicle; he also assaulted a female officer during his arrest.
Officers identified nine hundred and twenty-seven people and issued two hundred and twenty-five reports for drug possession, weapons and other administrative violations.
Local Police added more than three hundred uniformed officers to the operation, which together with fire services and civil protection reached three hundred and fifty personnel. Their assessment showed three arrests—one for theft, another for domestic violence and another for gender-based violence—eighteen assaults, nine brawls, twenty-one cases requiring attention for alcohol abuse, twenty for general malaise, four sexual assaults, eight incidents of gender-based violence and five drink-driving cases.
Red Cross assisted one hundred and fourteen people: forty-one for intoxications, twenty-seven for burns, thirty-six for blows and ten for fainting spells. Six had to be taken to hospitals.
In Gandía, two hundred and fifteen people were identified and thirty-seven reports were issued for drugs and one for weapons. In Sagunto there were thirty-four identifications and two reports for narcotics.
