Pub owner in Las Verónicas arrested with drugs and 2,376 nitrous oxide capsules
The National Police arrested the owner of a leisure establishment in Las Verónicas after cocaine, ecstasy and laughing gas were found in two pubs that were inspected.

Officers from the National Police, in collaboration with the Local Police of Arona, inspected two leisure establishments in the Las Verónicas area on 24 and 25 May. According to eldia.es, the operation concluded with the arrest of the owner of one of the premises as the suspected perpetrator of an offence against public health.
Inside the first pub, officers located various narcotic substances arranged for sale in an area accessible only to establishment staff. Among the seized material, packages containing cocaine, Kristal, MDA/MDMA, ecstasy, pink cocaine or tusi and cannabis were identified.
In the second establishment, the inspection revealed twelve gas dispensers for balloons and five boxes of nitrous oxide (N2O), totalling 2,376 single-dose capsules. This substance, known as laughing gas, has spread among young people due to its recreational effects. The authorities warn that its consumption can cause serious neurological damage and even death.
The Local Police of Arona also took part in the review of both premises to verify compliance with current municipal regulations, forwarding their findings to the activities department of Arona's Town Council. The operations were framed within administrative control work based on municipal ordinances and crime prevention activities.
