Arrest at Málaga Fair on suspicion of sexual assault against two young women

A 31-year-old man was detained by the National Police after allegedly subjecting two young women to non-consensual touching in a tent at the fairground of the Málaga Fair, according to Google News ES — Crime.

The incident took place in the early hours of Wednesday, 19 August, after 04.00. The two victims were in the establishment together with a friend—the three had travelled from another Spanish city to enjoy the festivities—when the individual began to harass them while they were dancing.

The suspect went further and subjected two of the young women to non-consensual touching and rubbing. Security personnel at the tent intervened immediately: they expelled the man from the premises, alerted the National Police, and detained him outside until officers arrived.

A unit from the Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), which is part of the special security operation at Cortijo de Torres, was dispatched to the scene. The two victims and the witness recounted what had happened to the officers and identified the suspect without doubt as the perpetrator of the facts.

The detainee was arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and subsequently placed at the disposal of the courts.
