Man arrested in Motril with 3.4 kilogrammes of hashish after fleeing National Police
A 34-year-old man was arrested in Motril after throwing a rucksack containing 299 hashish pellets valued at more than 23,000 euros.

A 34-year-old man was detained in Motril after fleeing on foot from a National Police patrol and discarding a rucksack containing drugs beneath a parked vehicle. According to Google News ES — Crime (es), the incident occurred around ten o'clock at night, when officers were carrying out crime prevention duties.
When attempting to identify the suspect, he fled on foot through the streets of the Granada town. During the pursuit, one of the police officers observed the man crouching between two cars and throwing the rucksack under one of them before disappearing from view.
The officers recovered the rucksack and found inside it 595 euros in low-denomination notes, foreign currency, a wallet with bank cards and personal documentation, some keys and a ferry ticket bound for Morocco.
The most significant discovery, however, was related to the drugs. In a white plastic bag there were 34 pellets of a substance that subsequently tested positive for hashish, sealed with inscriptions such as "Blue Dream" or "Blueberry Mufyn". In a black rubbish bag they also found three more bags wrapped in transparent film containing 265 more pellets, labelled as "Doble Static".
The total weight of the drugs seized reached 3,400 grammes of hashish, with an estimated market value exceeding 23,000 euros, according to the National Police.
After recovering the rucksack, the officers deployed a search operation in nearby areas and included a visit to the suspect's home. There they made contact with a relative who facilitated the location of the owner, which enabled his arrest minutes later.
The detainee, aged 34 and with no previous police record, was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities as the suspected author of an offence against public health.
