Man arrested in Soria wanted for homicide and unlawful detention

Last week, a routine surveillance operation on the streets of Soria resulted in the capture of a man whom authorities were seeking for detention. The information has been published by the outlet desdeSoria.

During a routine check, uniformed officers from the Provincial Police Station were unable to verify the suspect's identity as he was not carrying identity documents. They therefore took him to the police facilities to ascertain his personal details.

At that point they discovered that an Investigative Court in the Spanish capital had issued a ruling for him to be deprived of liberty and imprisoned. The officers immediately arrested him.

The man, originally from Madrid, had previously been investigated for serious offences including unlawful deprivation of liberty and a crime of violence. Once procedures were completed, officers escorted him to the provincial prison in Soria, where he remains in custody.
