A man was arrested after attempting to set fire to a booth in the El Arenal fairground during the final day of the Córdoba Fair. Local police recorded 72 interventions on the day.

Córdoba Local Police closed the Feast of Our Lady of Health Fair with a total of 72 interventions recorded between 08.00 hours on Saturday 30 May and 08.00 on Sunday 31, according to ABC.
Among the most serious incidents was the arrest of an individual who attempted to introduce a flaming object into the interior of one of the booths in the El Arenal fairground. The video surveillance system detected the action and allowed for rapid intervention by officers, who proceeded with the arrest of the suspect. The day closed with two arrests in total: one for domestic abuse and another for an offence against public health.
In terms of public safety, officers carried out 26 interventions. Of these, 13 were related to narcotics, three to bladed weapons, two to brawls without physical contact and eight to identification of persons. Most of these operations were concentrated during the night shift.
Emergency services attended to four cases of alcohol or drug intoxication, distributed between the afternoon and night. There were no incidents involving lost minors, accidents at attractions or incidents at booths.
With regard to breaches of municipal ordinances, Local Police intervened on nine occasions: six for denying access to booths and three linked to street vending within the fairground.
In the section on other operations, officers processed one report, carried out three alcohol and drug controls and managed 14 interventions related to the loss or recovery of objects and documents. There were also 13 interventions of various kinds, most during the early hours of the morning.
The National Police, for their part, arrested four more people and proceeded to identify 80 others during the closure of the fair. They drew up 36 reports throughout the night, which included three brawls, and carried out five humanitarian services on a day which officers described as intense.
