The Guardia Civil has arrested a 33-year-old man in Burela, a municipality in Lugo province, as the suspected perpetrator of a robbery with violence against a seventy-year-old woman. The arrest was made following a rapid investigation.
The incident occurred in a public area of the coastal municipality. The attacker approached the elderly woman and forcibly snatched her bag, causing her to fall and sustaining injuries. The victim suffered contusions that required medical attention.
Officers from the Burela station immediately began investigations and managed to identify the suspect within a few hours. The detainee, a resident of the area, has a criminal record for similar offences.
Following his arrest, the individual was taken to the Guardia Civil facilities and subsequently brought before the Investigating Court on duty in Viveiro.
