The National Police have arrested an administrative worker in Salamanca who was hoarding advance appointments in the immigration system to resell them and falsifying residency registrations. He charged between 300 and 400 euros.

The National Police have arrested an administrative worker in Salamanca as the alleged person responsible for facilitating irregular immigration. The detainee operated from a legally registered administrative office, although his activities went beyond what was permitted by law.
According to ABC, the arrested man hoarded all available time slots in the advance appointment system of the Public Administration for immigration matters. In this way, other applicants could not obtain an appointment through ordinary channels. The administrative worker subsequently resold these appointments at inflated prices.
Additionally, the office carried out fraudulent residency registrations using false rental contracts. It registered dozens of people at the same property without them actually living there, thus evading municipal checks.
Immigrants used these certificates to prove community ties and to apply for residence and work permits in Spain.
The fee for these services ranged from 300 to 400 euros per registration. The operation was carried out on 27 May and investigations remain open.
