Germany's most wanted drug smuggler arrested in Málaga
Spanish police have arrested a German drug smuggler in Málaga who was wanted under a European arrest warrant. He was discovered in his brother's car.

The success of the manhunt was achieved in close cooperation with the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), as the Spanish police directorate and the Interior Ministry in Madrid announced.
The suspect is reportedly a boxing and martial arts expert against whom German authorities had issued a European arrest warrant for drug trafficking and membership of a criminal organisation. He is accused of smuggling large quantities of drugs into Germany via a warehouse in Spain, from which goods were transported through France.
Spanish investigators had begun their inquiries in the previous year after receiving information that the man might have fled to Spain. To evade arrest, he changed his telephone number every two months and his identity every three months, according to the Interior Ministry. He had also completed a cybersecurity course in Turkey, where he had learnt how to disguise his location using modern technology.
Nevertheless, it was ultimately his brother who led to his downfall. Spanish police first determined his brother's whereabouts and subsequently kept watch on several locations for days. Eventually investigators discovered the fugitive in Málaga — on the back seat of his brother's vehicle.
When contacted by news agency AFP, the BKA initially made no comment on the case.
