Two footballers from the RCD Mallorca academy were detained for filming a sexual act with a minor without consent. The club terminated both players' contracts.

Two players from the RCD Mallorca youth structure, one of them a minor, have been detained for secretly filming a sexual encounter with a girl over 16 years old, according to advance reporting by the Balearic newspaper Última Hora and confirmed by sources at the National Police, as reported by La Vanguardia.
The incident took place on 14 August at a home in Palma where several footballers from the club's youth teams reside. The minor attended the property voluntarily. There, the adult player engaged in consensual sexual relations with her, while the other, hidden in a wardrobe, recorded the scene without the girl's knowledge. She discovered it and, days later, filed a complaint with the National Police.
Both are accused of an alleged crime of corruption of minors for their involvement in the non-consensual recording. Officers from the Family and Women's Unit (UFAM) are also investigating whether there are other young people involved and whether there might be additional victims who were filmed in similar situations.
The footballer who made the recording, being a minor, has had his case referred to the Minors' Public Prosecutor's Office. The other player, an adult, appeared before the duty judge on Thursday, who ordered his release.
RCD Mallorca issued an official statement in which it assures that, as soon as it became aware of the facts, it immediately opened an internal procedure to clarify what happened. Following completion of that internal investigation and after assessing the facts and circumstances, the club decided to terminate the contracts of both footballers, who "have ceased to belong to the club". The entity reiterated its commitment to compliance with its internal rules and to the values that should guide the conduct of all its members.
