Two British tourists arrested in Mallorca for assaulting their partners
Sant Llorenç local police in Mallorca arrested two men of British nationality in the early hours of Sunday, accused of physically assaulting their respective partners in separate incidents that occurred approximately one hour apart.
The first incident was recorded in Sa Coma. Officers responded to a hotel room following reports of a heated argument. There they found a woman with blood stains and various injuries. The victim had managed to leave the room and call for help. Other guests came to her assistance and the hotel reception alerted the authorities. In addition to the assault, some of her personal belongings had been damaged. A 51-year-old man was arrested.
The second intervention took place in S'Illot. Police officers responded to a call from another hotel and located a 38-year-old woman on the beach. The victim appeared visibly distressed and showed signs consistent with physical assault. She had to be taken to Manacor Hospital for medical evaluation, given the risk that the injuries could be serious. A 37-year-old man was arrested.
According to Majorca Daily Bulletin, both arrests took place in the early hours of the same morning in the municipality of Sant Llorenç des Cardassar.
