One and a half tonnes of illegal pesticides seized in clandestine warehouse in Zas
The Guardia Civil immobilised 1,567 kilogrammes of plant health products in an unauthorised storage facility in Zas. The operation, framed within the Doku Order, revealed attempts to conceal goods.

According to ABC, the Guardia Civil located an illegal warehouse dedicated to the storage and distribution of plant health products in the Coruña municipality of Zas on 14 May, in a joint operation with inspectors from Plant Health of the Xunta of Galicia.
The action, carried out by officers of the Seprona patrol from Corcubión within the framework of the Uprona of A Coruña, is part of the Doku Service Order, a national-scope operation aimed at monitoring the sale and storage of plant health substances.
The operation began with a routine technical inspection at a retail establishment selling plant health products located in Zas. During the review, Seprona officers and regional staff detected serious irregularities in the traceability of substances stored on the premises, which raised suspicion about the existence of an undeclared distribution centre linked to the same company.
On the basis of those investigations, officers located a second warehouse in the same municipality, approximately 15 kilometres from the establishment initially inspected. Upon arrival, agents found several workers who, according to the Guardia Civil, were attempting to move boxes of products into a van parked in the area with the aim of concealing them. An inspection was then carried out of both the vehicle and a container that was functioning as a logistics warehouse.
Technicians verified that the facility was operating illegally, as it lacked the administrative authorisations required for the storage and distribution of such substances. The space also failed to meet the technical requirements necessary for proper preservation of the products or for environmental protection.
As a result of the deficiencies detected, officers immobilised 1,567 kilogrammes of various plant health products. The goods were sealed and secured for custody by the competent authorities and subsequent processing.
Once inspections were completed, the Guardia Civil filed the corresponding administrative charges for breaches in plant health and legal safety matters, which have already been forwarded to the competent authority.
