Two men intercepted in Dénia with two kilos of cocaine while boarding ferry to Ibiza
The Guardia Civil arrested two men aged 24 and 30 in the port of Dénia, who were carrying 2.039 kilogrammes of cocaine concealed in vacuum-sealed bags inside a suitcase, when they were about to board a ferry bound for Ibiza.

The Guardia Civil arrested two individuals on 27 April at the Alicante port of Dénia who intended to transport a significant quantity of cocaine to the island of Ibiza. The detainees, aged 24 and 30, were apprehended during an embarkation check, according to ABC.
Officers from the Tax and Border Unit selected a vehicle for inspection, whose occupants displayed behaviour that raised alarm. During inspection of the baggage, agents found several vacuum-sealed containers concealed among clothing in a suitcase.
Analysis confirmed that the contents were cocaine. The scales showed a weight of 2.039 kilogrammes. In addition to the drugs, 3,400 euros in cash, three mobile phones and the vehicle in which they were travelling were seized.
The two detainees were brought before the Court of First Instance in Dénia, which ordered their detention in provisional prison, incommunicado and with no possibility of bail.
The investigation continues to clarify the source of the substance and its final destination. The authorities have not ruled out further arrests related to this case.
