A nineteen-year-old individual was remanded in custody after being arrested in Móstoles as the suspected perpetrator of four robberies with intimidation committed in residential areas of Rivas-Vaciamadrid in November of last year. The Guardia Civil located the suspect following an investigation that concluded with his arrest and subsequent provisional imprisonment.
According to information provided by the Benemérita to ABC, the detainee would approach people walking alone on their way home during night-time hours. Carrying a knife, he demanded that they hand over their belongings, primarily mobile devices and cash.
Among the victims was a ride-hailing driver from whom he took all the money he was carrying. In another incident, he forced a victim to make an instant transfer to him through the Bizum platform.
The Guardia Civil operation made it possible to link the four robberies to the same person, identify him and arrest him in Móstoles. Once brought before the judge, his admission to a correctional facility was ordered.
