Spanish police reported the arrest of an individual who was bringing into the country weapons classified as illegal by local authorities from the Czech Republic. This was announced on Friday by news agencies EFE and EuropaPress.

The arrested man acquired these weapons in Czech territory and subsequently advertised and sold them to buyers throughout Spain. Among the products marketed were, for example, electric stun devices.

Spanish authorities are now investigating the full extent of the distribution network and the total number of weapons that may have illegally entered the country. The case highlights the legislative differences that exist between European Union member states regarding weapons regulation.
