Officers from the National Police have dismantled an organisation dedicated to drug distribution in Elche (Alicante) and have confiscated three kilogrammes of cocaine, valued at 180,000 euros on the black market.
The operation resulted in the arrest of a 26-year-old man, who was brought before the Court of First Instance number 4 in the city of Elche. The officers also seized 1,600 euros in cash, a precision scale and various materials for packaging the narcotic substance.
The investigation began after an increase in criminal activity was detected in the area. Police officers conducted various inquiries that allowed them to identify the suspected person responsible and locate the point from which the network operated. According to Cadena SER, the arrest took place at the suspect's home, where all the confiscated drugs were found.
The operation is part of the permanent measures that the National Police maintains in the province of Alicante to combat drug trafficking and dismantle the distribution networks that operate in the territory.
