The National Police have dismantled a marijuana and hashish selling point in a property located opposite a school centre in Torrent, a locality in the Valencian Community, according to information provided by ABC citing a statement from headquarters.

The investigation began when the Drug Squad of Torrent Police Station received information about a possible selling point in the vicinity of a school. Officers deployed a surveillance operation around the building and observed a constant flow of buyers, mostly young people.

During the surveillance, investigators observed a repeated pattern: buyers would present themselves at the door without ringing the bell and would communicate with the seller via messaging applications on their mobile phones. The suspect would open the door after a few seconds and the visitors would leave the building after staying for between four and five minutes.

With the evidence gathered, on 5 May a search was carried out at the investigated property. Officers seized approximately 700 grammes of marijuana prepared for distribution, 125 grammes of hashish and 4,100 euros in cash, a sum allegedly derived from the sale of drugs.

The resident of the property was arrested as a suspected perpetrator of a crime against public health and placed at the disposal of the judicial authority.
