Provisional prison for the man detained at the drug laboratory on Aragón Street in Vigo
The National Police dismantled a drug sales and manufacturing point in the area surrounding Aragón Street in Vigo, according to reports. In the operation, a man was arrested and 30 grammes of heroin, 2 grammes of cocaine, 42 grammes of hashish, 1,000 euros in cash and various material for preparing doses were seized.
The operation took place in a property in the area, with the support of officers from the Prevention and Response Unit (UPR). During the search, agents located drugs distributed throughout various points in the dwelling, along with containers, heating instruments, cutting implements and other objects commonly used in the manufacture of narcotics.
The property had previously been identified as a location with ongoing illicit activity, with a constant flow of people and movement affecting the peace and quiet of the neighbourhood, according to police sources.
The operation culminated in the arrest of the man for an alleged drug trafficking offence. He was taken to police premises for the relevant procedures and, on the same Friday, brought before the courts.
The Vigo court of first instance ordered his detention in provisional prison, non-communicable and without bail, for an alleged offence against public health. The police investigation remains open and further arrests are not ruled out.
