A 47-year-old German national has been allegedly murdered by her partner in Isla Cristina (Huelva), according to Google News ES — Crime (es) citing investigation sources. The victim's body was found on Punta del Caimán beach with multiple stab wounds.
The detainee is a 60-year-old Italian man, arrested this morning by the Guardia Civil as the suspected perpetrator of the crime.
The alert reached the Andalusia Emergency Services 112 at 8:50 hours when a caller reported the presence of a woman "motionless" and unresponsive on Avenida del Atlántico. Medical personnel and Local Police officers travelled to the location and confirmed the woman's death upon arrival.
The Guardia Civil has taken over the investigation to clarify the circumstances of the case.
Should it be confirmed as a gender-based violence murder, it would be the 37th victim so far this year in Spain, and the 1,378th since 2003, the date when these figures began to be officially recorded.
