Madrid Municipal Police arrested a 62-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman in the Ciudad Lineal district after locating a victim locked in rooms at a venue, drugged and forced into prostitution, according to Google News ES — Crime.
Officers received the alert at around 06:00 on 25 August. A man called from the taxi in which he was travelling to alert them that a friend of his was being held against her will on a street in the Madrid district.
Victim requested help via messages
According to an account reported by Europa Press, the young woman contacted her friend by telephone to request assistance. The messages she sent to him confirm that she had initially been hired as a waitress, but that the owners of the venue were forcing her to have sexual relations with strangers against her will.
Upon arriving at the establishment, officers found it closed. After requiring its owners to open it, they located the woman locked in one of the rooms, lying on a double bed and showing clear signs of being under the influence of some substance. She showed signs of panic. The victim stated she had been held for three days.
Owners of venue arrested
The woman was taken to a hospital to receive medical attention. Police officers arrested the two owners of the venue, accused of the offences of prostitution and human trafficking.
In a separate operation, the National Police arrested two men for their alleged involvement in the murder of a man in his mid-50s that occurred on 13 April in Getafe, a municipality in south Madrid. The incident took place at around 00:30 in the vicinity of San Sebastián street, where the victim was attacked with a sharp weapon. Summa 112 medical personnel transferred him in serious condition to Hospital Universitario 12 de Octubre in Madrid, where he presented multiple wounds to the thorax and abdomen.
