Eight arrested in 83 checks by Lorca Local Police in outlying districts
Lorca Local Police arrested eight people in public safety operations that included 83 checks, 251 vehicles and 752 identifications.

Google News ES — Crime (es) reports that Lorca Local Police have detained eight people as a result of a series of prevention, surveillance and public safety operations deployed at various points across the municipality, with particular attention to outlying districts.
The detentions are distributed as follows: two people on arrest warrants for presumed violent robbery and intimidation; one for a public health offence; two for offences related to gender-based violence; and three for driving under the influence of alcohol.
The two detentions linked to arrest warrants for violent robbery bring to four the total number of arrests in recent days as part of specific operations against this type of crime. Local Police have reinforced preventive presence in areas and time slots considered to be of greater police interest with the aim of preventing further incidents and locating possible perpetrators.
In one of the operations, established on La Malvaloca road, officers intercepted a driver whose vehicle was carrying three packages containing more than 300 grammes of hashish. The driver was detained as the presumed perpetrator of a public health offence and the substance was seized.
In the course of all operations, 83 checks were carried out, in which 251 vehicles were checked and 752 people were identified. Of those checks, 29 were carried out in outlying districts and 17 were specifically directed at Personal Mobility Vehicles (PMV).
In traffic matters, 12 reports were filed with the General Traffic Directorate. Four correspond to vehicles without compulsory insurance and a further four to circulation without current Vehicle Inspection (ITV) in force. A further five reports were added for infractions related to consumption or possession of narcotics on public highways.
Regarding compliance with municipal by-laws, 17 citations were issued for breach of the Civic Coexistence By-law: 12 for alcohol consumption on public highways and five for urinating in public spaces. To these were added four citations for discarding waste on the street and one more regarding the protection and care of animals.
During the same period, Local Police attended 10 traffic accidents, nine of them with exclusively material damage and one with a person slightly injured.
