Woman rescued from kidnapping in warehouse at Córdoba's Las Quemadas industrial estate
State security agents arrested a man in May who is alleged to have forcibly confined a woman inside an industrial building located in the Las Quemadas industrial estate in the town of Córdoba. The police operation was activated after multiple emergency calls were received from people passing near the premises, according to ABC.
The swift police response made it possible to extract the victim in stable physical condition. Various passers-by in the vicinity alerted the authorities that they could hear female voices calling for help from inside the premises, begging to be released and reporting that they were being prevented from leaving.
Faced with the evident danger, the officers on duty were immediately dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, they were able to hear directly the calls for help emanating from the building. When they approached the individual stationed at the entrance, he repeatedly refused to grant access.
Given the clear evidence of an ongoing kidnapping, the officers decided to force entry into the building using the technical equipment at their disposal.
After entering, they located the captive person and brought the situation under control, ensuring the victim's safety and neutralising the captor. The arrested man was taken before the court as the alleged perpetrator of unlawful deprivation of liberty, coercion, and causing assault.
