The National Police have arrested three of the four suspected perpetrators of a robbery at a jewellery shop in Playa del Inglés, Gran Canaria.

Officers from the National Police have detained three individuals accused of robbing a jewellery shop in Playa del Inglés, located in the Gran Canaria municipality of San Bartolomé de Tirajana. A fourth accomplice managed to escape following the robbery.
According to Canarias7, the four assailants were hooded when they broke into the commercial establishment. After perpetrating the theft, the robbers fled the scene.
The swift action of police officers allowed them to intercept three of those involved shortly after the incident. The authorities are continuing their investigation to locate the whereabouts of the fourth fugitive.
The incident has generated concern in the Playa del Inglés tourist area, one of the busiest areas in the south of Gran Canaria. The detainees were handed over to the competent judicial authorities.
