Man arrested in Valladolid for carrying machete at San Antonio festivities
An individual was arrested in Arroyo de la Encomienda, province of Valladolid, for carrying a large bladed weapon during the patronal celebrations. Officers discovered him with the machete in the midst of the San Antonio de Padua festivities.
The arrest took place in the early hours of Saturday during a joint security operation between the Local Police of the municipality and the Civil Guard. Officers detected the young man with the weapon and proceeded to arrest him immediately.
The coordinated intervention of both forces made it possible to neutralise the situation without any disturbances occurring among those attending the festivities. The arrested man was taken to police headquarters and brought before a judge for the offence of unlawful possession of weapons.
