The Civil Guard has detained a person following the discovery of the body of a man in a residential property on Almenara beach in Castellón, following a violent altercation between the two.

A man died violently in the early hours of Friday in a residence in the coastal area of Almenara, a municipality in the province of Castellón. Officers from the armed institute already have in custody the individual who allegedly caused his death, according to reporting from Las Provincias.
The patrol received an alert from the emergency services 112 shortly after the early hours of the day regarding an assault in the town. Upon arriving at the property indicated, officers found the lifeless body of one of those involved and proceeded to detain the other participant in the altercation.
According to available information, the confrontation took place between two men inside the residence. The result was the death of one of them, whilst the other was taken to the armed forces' facilities.
This incident comes during a particularly turbulent week in the Valencian Community. On Monday afternoon, a twenty-four-year-old youth presented himself at Burjassot police station confessing to having ended the life of his three-year-old son's speech therapist, whom he said he had discovered sexually abusing the child.
The following day, in Aldaia, another homicidal death occurred. In that case, a Moroccan citizen lost his life due to stab wounds during a fight with several individuals of Algerian and Moroccan origin in an abandoned hut on the outskirts of the municipality.
That same night on Tuesday, officers from the Family and Women Unit of the National Police found the body of an elderly man inside a freezer chest in a property in Castellón. The officers were searching the premises with judicial authorisation for the suspect in a sexual assault.
