Woman arrested in Valencia for stealing jewellery from the house where she worked
The National Police arrested a 39-year-old woman in Valencia as the alleged perpetrator of theft after selling several pieces of gold jewellery that had been stolen from the home where she worked as a domestic employee, according to ABC.
The events took place in February. The victim filed a complaint after noticing the disappearance of various jewels from inside her home, which showed no signs of forced entry. Access to the residence was restricted: only the owners and the domestic worker had keys.
The investigation confirmed that the worker had sold the pieces in several second-hand jewellery shops, obtaining a total profit of €1,566. Among the stolen items were a ring, a signet ring, a pair of earrings and a brooch, all made of gold.
