A person jogging in Nokia was shot with an air gun on Monday evening. Police are seeking witnesses and asking for tips.

According to Ilta-Sanomat, police are investigating a suspected assault in Nokia in which a person on a jogging run was hit by a pellet fired from an air gun. The victim's injury is not serious, but the South-Central Finland Police Department considers the act serious and dangerous.
The shooting occurred on Monday at approximately 22:00 on Pinsiöntie, the location of the incident being at Pinsiöntie 29. The shooter may have been on the northern side of the road, but other locations are also possible. The shot may have been fired from outside, from a building, or from a vehicle.
There is currently no information about the perpetrator. Police are asking for tips from anyone in the area at the time of the incident. Observations of people moving unusually in the area or carrying an air gun or an object suggesting one are of particular interest. Sound observations of gunshot noises or metallic clicks are also important to police.
