Erwan Balanant, an elected representative from Finistère affiliated with the Les Démocrates group, led a parliamentary commission between 2024 and 2025 tasked with examining violence in several cultural sectors: cinema, television, live entertainment, fashion and advertising. When questioned about this matter, he argued that an end must be put to justifying "genius" to excuse criminal behaviour.
According to the deputy, this legal case highlights a tolerance that has long dominated within these professions. He calls for collective awareness of these dysfunctions.
