The autopsy of the bodies of a 54-year-old woman and her 26-year-old son, who were found dead in Longos, Achaia, has brought to light significant findings about the manner in which they lost their lives. The 65-year-old partner of the woman, an Italian national, is being held in provisional detention and is accused of killing them both deliberately.
According to reports from PatraPress.gr, forensic experts established that the fatal injuries were located in the chest area, very close to the heart. This finding is considered decisive for the course of the investigation.
The examination of the 54-year-old revealed numerous wounds from a sharp object. Additionally, defensive marks were found, a fact that suggests the victim attempted to avoid the violent attack.
For the young man, specialists recorded a head wound from a blunt object, whilst he also bears multiple stab wounds.
The authorities are proceeding with a new round of interrogations. Relatives and people from the victims' circle are expected to give statements, so that any conflicts or incidents that could explain the crime may be investigated.
Information from police sources reports that the testimonies collected so far present inconsistencies regarding the accused's relationship with the woman and her child. Whilst formally no problems were reported in their cohabitation, informal information suggests there were tensions that had emerged recently.
