Property administrator arrested in Turin, 900,000 euros seized
A 46-year-old administrator has been arrested under house arrest after emptying the accounts of 16 apartment buildings. A boat worth 190,000 euros purchased with the embezzled funds has been seized.

Arrested for embezzlement
A 46-year-old property administrator was arrested in late October 2026 by Turin's appeals court. According to torinotoday.it, the man was accused of emptying the accounts of the buildings he managed. The judges ordered house arrest and the preventive seizure of approximately 900,000 euros against the defendant and family members under investigation.
The financial police also seized a boat valued at 190,000 euros moored at the Albenga tourist port. The prosecution claims the vessel was purchased with funds embezzled from the apartment buildings. The appeals court's decision overturned the initial assessment by the preliminary investigation judge, who had found serious evidence of embezzlement but not money laundering.
Sixteen buildings emptied between 2022 and 2025
The financial police investigation involved a total of 16 Turin apartment buildings. The inquiry began in 2025 after the owners of a building on Via Cossa changed administrators and discovered bank accounts had been emptied and unpaid debts to Iren and Smat for utilities. Among the damages identified were forged invoices, paid work never started and lack of heating in some buildings.
In Grugliasco, according to the charges, work worth 40,000 euros for a fire prevention certificate allegedly was never carried out. Public prosecutor Giuseppe Drammis of Turin's prosecutor's office argued that those under investigation had "deliberately planned a true raid against the apartment buildings".
The money circuit
Between 2022 and 2025, according to the investigation, the administrator allegedly transferred funds from the apartment buildings to two companies formally registered in his sister-in-law's and ex-girlfriend's names, but traceable to him. The sums allegedly then flowed into the defendant's account. Invoices for consultancy services deemed non-existent totalled approximately three million euros. The capital allegedly was used to purchase cars, motorcycles and the boat.
In addition to the 46-year-old, under investigation are his brother, an accountant, his sister-in-law and his ex-girlfriend. An appeal is pending at the Court of Cassation against the custody measure, presented by lawyer Manuel Perga.
