Car chase in Bra
A driver was charged by the Local Police of Bra after attempting to evade a traffic control. According to comune.bra.cn.it, the man was driving a Renault with erratic movements, creating a danger to other motorists. Several road users immediately reported the behaviour to the emergency number 112.
The crews of the Local Police of Bra and the Carabinieri Company were mobilised to search for the vehicle. A Local Police crew spotted the car in via Vittorio Veneto and ordered the driver to stop, but he continued driving, triggering a pursuit. In an attempt to evade the control, the fleeing man collided with the wall of a building, but continued his escape.
Caught and stopped by the officers, the man was identified and charged to the Public Prosecutor's Office of Asti with fleeing posing a danger to the safety of other road users. In addition to administrative fines for the violations committed, his driving licence was confiscated, found not to have been converted into a valid document for driving in Italy — the reason that had led him to flee.
