The Rome Prosecution is contesting the double homicide of his partner and 14-month-old daughter against Francis Kaufmann. The prosecutor has characterised the accused as a pathological narcissist with manipulative capabilities.

Homicide in Rome, life sentence sought
According to rainews.it, the Public Prosecution has sought a life sentence with daytime isolation for three years for Francis Kaufmann, 47 years old, accused of the double homicide of his partner Anastasia Trofimova and his daughter Andromeda, aged 14 months. The bodies of the two women were found at Villa Pamphilj in June 2025, a few metres apart from each other. The prosecution contests against Kaufmann the aggravated double homicide: he allegedly suffocated his partner and strangled the child.
During the closing argument, prosecutor Antonio Verdi described the accused as "a lucid person, a pathological narcissist with manipulative capabilities, an impostor". The public prosecutor also criticised police officers, believing they did not act as they should have. Kaufmann had been stopped by law enforcement on the street two days before the bodies were found, already drunk and accompanied by the young Andromeda, even though his partner was already deceased.
The defence requested a psychiatric evaluation, concluding that the accused's mental health does not present significant limitations to his capacity to understand and will. In the preceding May, the judge had ordered Kaufmann's transfer to a psychiatric care facility, suspending the proceedings. Four witnesses reported having seen the accused, who presented himself in court under the name Rexal Ford, loitering in the vicinity of Villa Pamphilj with a child in his arms a few hours before the discovery of the two bodies.
