Around 22:15 on Tuesday, a fight turned to tragedy in the Limpertsberg district, near Allée Scheffer. The incident occurred at the edge of concerts being held for the national holiday, as reported by Le Quotidien.
According to a statement from the authorities, two individuals were struck by a blade. One of them sustained a minor cut. The other, struck in the neck, was admitted to hospital as an emergency.
Emergency services intervened at the scene to provide first aid before transferring both victims to the hospital. The motives for this attack remain unclear. Two people were placed in police custody.
The prosecutor's office was alerted and an investigation has been launched. The police are also appealing for witnesses. Anyone who can provide information is asked to call 113.
