Nocturnal brawls on Rue du Fort Neipperg: man hospitalised

Le Quotidien reports that two separate altercations mobilised police in the railway station district of Luxembourg City between 30 and 31 May.

In the afternoon of 30 May, a patrol intercepted two men in the midst of a dispute. One of them, visibly in an advanced state of intoxication, proved uncooperative with officers. Taken to the police station, he underwent a medical examination before being placed in a sobering cell for several hours.

A few hours later, in the night of 31 May, police were called to a nightclub on Rue du Fort Neipperg. Upon the arrival of officers, the two protagonists were still pursuing their confrontation and had to be restrained on the spot. One of them had facial injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment. Despite his injury, he continued to prove uncooperative and was placed in a cell following his medical examination. The second individual was placed in administrative detention.
