Luxembourg Court: violence at family birthday celebration
The criminal court of the Luxembourg District Court heard a case of domestic and family violence that occurred at a private gathering. The incidents date back to 23 November 2024, according to Le Quotidien.
On that day, a young man was celebrating reaching adulthood. His relatives had gathered to mark the occasion. After the exchange of gifts, the evening descended into violence. The father of the family, named Elvis, is alleged to have struck his son. His partner is said to have attempted to calm things down by positioning herself between the two, but she too was allegedly hit in the face.
During the hearing, the judge presiding over the 7th Criminal Division asked for explanations regarding the events of that evening. The accused cited excessive enthusiasm linked to the festive atmosphere to justify his behaviour, mentioning that he had embraced his son with considerable force.
