The evening of Wednesday, 24 September 2025 ended in horror for the residents of a street in Fort-de-France. An 18-year-old boy was struck down by gunfire in Terres-Sainville.
Around 10pm, the young man was cycling along rue de l'Ouvrier Albert when assailants opened fire. Approximately fifteen projectiles were discharged, leaving visible marks on walls, postboxes and parked cars. The following day, these grim traces still testified to the violence of the attack.
Hit at the beginning of the street, the teenager could not be saved. Gendarmes from the research section were mobilised to identify the perpetrators of this crime.
Residents of this area, who had previously described it as peaceful, expressed their resignation in the face of this descent into violence.
