Four parcels posted from Saône-et-Loire and destined for Martinique were intercepted by customs. The sender concealed cannabis resin in packets of dog food and vitamins.

The customs services at Fort-de-France's sorting centre discovered four suspicious shipments from Saône-et-Loire. The first batch, intercepted on 11 April 2023, contained three parcels sent a few days earlier, on 4 April, from the towns of Autun and Le Creusot.
Inside these parcels, officers found vitamins and dog food. However, a more thorough inspection revealed the presence of an illicit substance concealed in each packet. Each shipment contained just over 500 grammes of cannabis resin, hidden amongst the animal products.
The sender of these parcels was brought before the courts on Friday to answer for these offences. The matter concerns drug trafficking through the post to Martinique.
