Burglary at Beauty Tan Bodø – police arrest several persons
Police responded on Saturday morning to Mørkved in Bodø following a report of an ongoing burglary at Beauty Tan Bodø. Several persons were arrested, and a criminal case has been opened.
Burglary at solarium in Bodø – several apprehended
NRK Norge reports that Nordland police district responded shortly before 11.00 on Saturday to Mørkved in Bodø following a report of an ongoing burglary from a business.
– Police are responding to a report of an ongoing burglary from a business, stated operations commander June Strand Jensen.
The burglary is reported to have taken place at the solarium Beauty Tan Bodø. Incident commander Jan Ingvald Hauge from the police confirmed shortly afterwards that the situation was under control.
– We have arrested several persons, and we are conducting information gathering and establishing an understanding of the sequence of events, said Hauge.
The incident commander stated that an item had been taken from the premises, and that police had a suspicion as to who was responsible.
– The item in question is not of great value, but police are opening a criminal case, he said.
Board chairman Vegard Lillegaard, who operates the centre together with his brother, was on holiday when the incident occurred. It was nonetheless he who alerted the police.
– I discovered it on the surveillance camera and reported it to the police myself, said Lillegaard, who stated that he had not yet visited the premises in person.
