A man attempted to enter a burning building and kicked a police officer. He is now charged with assault and threats.

According to smaalenene.no, six people were at the address in Askim when a fire broke out in the two-family house on 11 December last year. All evacuated safely, but the building – particularly the third floor where the fire started – sustained extensive damage.
A man in his 30s is now charged with assault and threats against a police officer at the scene. During the evacuation, he demanded to go back into the building, approached the officer with clenched fists and kicked him, according to the charge sheet.
He is also charged with having shouted at the officer and allegedly said "fuck you" to him several times.
For the threats charge, the penalty is a fine only. For assault on a police officer, however, he risks a fine or imprisonment for up to three years.
